Partners in Grain
Who are we?Partners in Grain is a grower driven project that facilitates learning opportunities for grain producers so that the producers can increase their skills, knowledge and confidence. The project also encourages producers to participate at a business and industry level.
What do we offer for young farmers? The project offers group learning by co-ordinating with existing services, networks and sourcing funding for new activities. A small fee is applicable for most events.
An example of the type of events organised is that last year in Victoria one day workshops were run on how to access grain marketers websites, outlines on different grain contracts and accessing information from grain marketers via email, fax and website.
Partners in Grain is a national project with initial funding from GRDC. In Victoria, Tasmania and New South Wales additional funding has been obtained from GrainGrowers Association.
